NYE: Goodbye 2020 forever
You made a serious and successful series of attempts with the walker this morning. You walked back and forth on the living room rug, your little hands clutching the handle in front of you comfortably, as though you hadn't started this just yesterday.
I woke you up from a sound snooze to meet Grace, Frederic and Ophelia, and Jordan for what turned out to be a 90-minute walk in the woods, and the perfect time for a nap.
We dove into some tasty Thai takeout brought over by Rob and Tomoko, and after you amazed us by scarfing down pieces of shrimp in spicy red curry, you went to bed and we played a cut throat game of scrabble.
Amazingly, you didn't rub all that much sauce into your hair tonight.
Just before midnight we watched the NYE countdown special on the Gem app, forgetting that the app lags, so our countdown was probably a minute late! Go, us!! The fireworks that exploded outside my window at midnight was the real clue.
Humanity has crawled out of the dumpster fire that was 2020 and cannon balled into the algae-covered swimming pool of drowned rats that is 2021. Things are looking up! ððĪŠðĪððū
