Congratulations, you're half a year old! I can't believe we have known each other that long. It feels like just yesterday when I gave birth to you with no feeling whatsoever from the neck down. Haha - no it doesn't. Life is much smoother and more predictable now. I have an idea of what to expect from a day with you. We have routines. I get a little shut eye at night. And we are getting to know one another.

One thing you really like to do is scratch surfaces, especially fabrics, with your fingernails. I think it probably gives you some haptic feedback and interesting sensations. You like to scratch the skin on my hand when I hold your formula bottle so I cut your nails today.

The moment I snapped this photo you flipped over! I think you were reaching for the mobile. I was draining spaghetti in the sink and heard your breath change so I looked over and you were contorted but calm.

You had three costume changes today resulting from a chain of blowouts. Honestly, one of them (the worst one) took place on my bed where we were playing. The poop shot through your cloth diaper and then your pants, then right on to my sheet. But I can't get mad at you. You're cute and losing your hair (because you sleep on your back).
