First Mother's Day
We had a busy Mother's Day with a ton of socializing for another day in quarantine. We facetimed with Grandma and Grandpa, then I had a call with friends Beth and Mark while you napped, and then Uncle Rob and Aunt Tomoko stopped by with a bouquet of carnations, a card and a large piece of Tomoko's homemade strawberry roll. The whipped cream alone could keep the dairy industry afloat. Farmers aren't making much money these days with restaurants and cafés closed. If Tomoko could whip up a few more of these cream filled delights, I think they'd really appreciate it.
Then we went for a stroll in the late afternoon. You're off baths again, so I wiped you down (you still weren't keen) with a face cloth and then held you and sang songs until you grew tired. Last night, you slept through the night. That's 11 hours straight! You probably woke up a few times because a baby's sleep cycle is quite short but you went right back to sleep. Let's see if you can pull that trick for a second night.
