Almost two, completely full of beans

We went to Costco today after work and daycare and you were quite comfortable sitting in the cart and waving to absolutely everyone. Strangers gush to me about how cute you are, but the harder they work at convincing you to interact with them, the less captivated you are! Human nature.
With shopping over with for another month we came home. You were a little out of sorts with dinner being a full hour late (who could blame you?). You demanded Baby Shark videos and actually refused to eat your scrambled eggs and English muffin (which you normally adore). So like the sucker she is, Mommy let you watch  videos on her phone. Oh, Mommy. You said you would never do that but then you did. Hope that decision doesn't turn around and bite you in the butt!
When you finally consented to lay down in your crib amongst your dolls and countless blankets, you were so snuggly and sleepy that I was reminded of you as a baby. I watched your feet touch playfully, absentmindedly, as I gently closed your bedroom door and wished I could hold on to that moment forever. 23-month old Aida, a growing toddler but still a sweet babe - the sweetest babe! I feel like I love you more every day, and although that's a sappy song lyric, it also happens to be the truth.
Warm clothes in the dryer were simply irresistible.
