Ripe for the picking
July's strawberry picking was so much fun we thought we'd try our hand at an apple u-pick in Kanata. Jay and Kai came along and we filled a bag in no time at all with you sourcing apples on the ground and the rest of us picking them off trees said to be 125 years old! It was a beautiful sunny day and there were tons of families there but it didn't feel crowded. We got Macintosh and Cortlands mostly.
Then we picnicked at Andrew Hayden Park followed by a short jaunt down a path to check out a mini windmill. The 2 short wooden bridges we walked over made you smile. You didn't enjoy the wooden structures there - unfamiliar and too many kids - but you made friends with a whale!
You started at Elizabeth's house - a new daycare - in Barrhaven last week. You didn't feel like eating much besides popsicles and you didn't nap (except for during the carride home). It was a tough week but you made friends with the other littles by the end of it.
